About Me

I’m Cathy, 26, married to Anthony, 41 (yikes!). We have two children together. Jack (the naughty one) who is 3 and Lils (the noisy one) is 8 months.

I prefer cakes to biscuits, sweetcorn to peas and my children to other people’s. Obviously.

I don’t really like work, which is funny as being a parent is the hardest work you’ll ever do. Sometimes I dream of having my dull, yawn-inducing administrator job back, but then I realise I love my kids too much and the harder you work the more loveable they become.

This picture is of me on our wedding day. I was 8 months pregnant, shot-gun wedding haha… no really!! I seem to have been constantly pregnant for a few years now. So I’m going to take a break from that to raise some children. I’ve created this blog to write about the ups and downs of being a mum and also as a little challenge, sometimes being a mum makes you feel a tad brain dead.

I resent these women that pretend to be super women and attempt to make parenthood look easy. It is not. They are bizarre non-human type entities or at least it makes me feel better to think of them that way.

This blog is honest, funny, sad, happy and completely non-judging of any other parents out there, that some days just feel like throwing in the towel and giving up (this is most days for me).

Sometimes life is really hard and i’m not afraid to admit that and share my struggles with others! Please enjoy….thank you!
