Children In Need – My Contribution

Well, I have been very quiet over the last couple of days. Mainly because I’m just useless and a bit of a lazy bones. BUT… I do have a little something to show for it.

Jack’s playschool was having a Children In Need Cafe and we parents were asked if we could bake treats. I love a good excuse for a bit of a play and a bit of fancy baking. Always regret it when I’m still at it at midnight mind you, but all the same, here’s my contribution (obviously along with the money I spent buying back my own cakes for the kids to eat)….

I decided to make Pudsey Bear biscuits. They are covered in fondant icing and definitely turned out well for my first attempt at decorated biscuits. I bought the Pudsey Bear cutter from Lakeland (my most favourite shop ever!!) and you can check out all their other Children In Need merchandise here.

I also decided to bake some of my favourite little treats. Yep, you guessed it… CUPCAKES!!! WOOHOO! Ok, ok calming down now.

Children In Need is a brilliant cause and as I’m sat here weeping at all the sad stories (that definitely tug at the heart strings much more when you have your own children), I am already trying to decide what I can do next year. Something big, something fun… and most importantly something that raises a LOT of cash!!
