Thou Shalt Not Blog!!

This, for some reason, seems to be a commandment that I am destined to obey. I can not for the life of me find time to write. Unless I am going to stay up till past 11pm and start writing? Nope. NOT going to happen. I am too tired.

Every time I plan a little writing session something gets in the way. We can all make excuses and pretend we’ve been rushed off our feet, but it is honestly starting to get ridiculous. I couldn’t make this stuff up. Yesterday I sat down, while Lili was napping, started catching up a little bit, reading a few blogs here and there. Suddenly, just as I was about to put fingers to keyboard, Jack announced, “the dog is in the garden”. Quite normal I here you say? Oh no it’s not…. we don’t have a dog! But somehow this little chap was paying us a visit…

Our little visitor... a.k.a 'Sydney'

He was a teeny, weeny, miniature poodle. I decided to take him for a walk as we’re not far from our local park, desperately hoping we’d bump into someone looking distraught trying to find their missing pet. Nope. We had our little visitor for 3 hours. Just long enough for my son to fall in love with him and announce that they were ‘best friends’. My husband came home and saved the day by contacting the dog warden and he found a match really quickly on their website. Sydney’s owner was round in a couple of minutes as she only lives two streets away from us. Sydney is only 5 months old and apparently this was the 3rd time he had run away. She is one lucky lady that he has been found safely each time, or maybe it’s Sydney that’s the lucky one!

So anyway… crazy things like this keep happening and I just can’t find time to write. I have even been given the Liebster Award by the lovely Natasha at That’s The Baby Game and I can’t find time to say thank you and actually do what I am supposed to do! THANK YOU Natasha, I am on the case and will join in ASAP, (It has also given me a similar ‘Super Happy Loony Smile’!!

Typically, my baby that usually sleeps for anywhere between an hour to 90 minutes, has just woken up after 20 minutes, thus cutting this post short too.

Honestly, how do you all do it? Where am I going wrong? Would most people just ignore the weird ball of fluff in the garden (at least until you’ve finished blogging), and hope it just goes away?

The odds are against me for the rest of the week too unfortunately. I need to dye my hair, pack for a hen weekend (I leave on Friday) and find time to make about 24 cupcakes and 20 cake pops….

So long fellow bloggers, it’s been nice knowing you.

  1. where there is a will there is a way, thats the old saying and its true, just take this post for example its a nice little post with a good bit of humour and a really cool title, “where do you get them from” and it tells a story, well actually 2 stories and gives a little bit of your life away. What your dear readers also need to know is that i will have to fend for myself this weekend and therefore cannot gaurentee the state of the kitchen when you get back.

  2. Aunty Bon Bon

Seeing little Sydney’s boney little face has brightened my day. You are always a Super Mum in my eyes, happy, healthy, smiley, giggling, polite kids who chatter away to people quite happily = PROOF. But finally………SINCE WHEN DO YOU DYE YOUR HAIR?!!?!? xxxx

  3. That dog is too cute, I wouldn’t have wanted to part with him either! I do reckon his owner needs to address the issue of his running away though because she must realise that next time he might not be so lucky.

    CJ xx

I know, it would be terrible if something happened to him. To be honest she didn’t even seem too grateful that we’d found him and taken him in. Hopefully little Sydney will be ok!
